Last night, the Buenos Aires Police deployed a security operation around the Monumental stadium for the match between River Plate and Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata. During the operation, 41 ticket scalpers were detained, and 81 fans were denied entry. The procedures were coordinated by the General Directorate of Mass Events with the collaboration of Traffic and Prevention Agents. A total of 427 violation reports were issued, 316 for attempting to enter without tickets and 81 for denying entry to fans registered in the 'Safe Stand' program. Additionally, a 24-year-old fan was issued a report for document forgery, and their pass was seized, with the involvement of the Flagrancy Unit of the Northern Federal Unit. Another fan was notified to appear at the Junín Correctional Court No. 3 to testify regarding a robbery that occurred in April 2024. Outside the venue in Núñez, 60 reports were issued, 41 of which were against ticket scalpers near the stadium. The others were for supplying or storing alcoholic beverages and for the improper use of public space.
